Community Health Camp – A Valuable Practical Learning Experience for Our Students

On 17 September 2026, our Nurse Assistant students actively participated in a community health camp held at the Vavuniya South Tamil Pradeshiya Sabha.
The camp was organized by the Rotary Club of Vavuniya Heritage in collaboration with the Vavuniya South Tamil Pradeshiya Sabha, with healthcare support from Vavuniya Health Care Private Hospital.
Our students had the valuable opportunity to assist doctors and healthcare staff, guide clients, support basic health assessments, and gain hands-on experience in a real community healthcare environment under supervision.
This experience strengthened their communication, teamwork, patient-care and professional skills, while giving them meaningful exposure to serving the community.
At VHC – Institute of Allied Health Sciences, we believe that practical experience is an essential part of developing confident and compassionate healthcare professionals.
